Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, noting any mechanical failures on an Operator Daily Report Sheet/Bus Log Sheet.

Adhere to fixed route procedures, including making verbal announcement of major intersections along the designated route. Other duties as assigned.

TRANSIT QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL SET AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Excellent customer service experience

Excellent driving record

Transit Driver's Must have a CDL A or B license with Airbrakes & Passenger Endorsement

Availability to work varying shifts, hours, days, and locations Must be able to pass annual physical examination and alcohol/drug test.

Must be knowledgeable of the Ocala Street network.

Must maintain at least a satisfactory level on work performance evaluations. Should have a special sensitivity for the needs of the transit dependent, elderly and disabled. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Sitting, walking, standing, bending neck (up and down), twisting neck (side to side), twisting and bending waist (forward or sideways), squatting (similar to the bowling position), climbing, kneeling (to bend on one knee), simple grasping, controlled grasping, power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling, reaching above/below/at shoulder height and lifting/carrying 0 - 30 pound
