Hybrid Work Schedule

As Senior Manager, PR, Events & Collaborations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how the Torrid brand shows up in culture, builds community, and creates memorable experiences for our customers.  

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Social and PR, this role leads the development and execution of integrated public relations, experiential marketing, strategic partnerships, collaborations, creator engagement, and emerging media strategies that elevate brand awareness, strengthen customer loyalty, and support business growth.  

You will lead earned media strategy while bringing the brand to life through immersive experiences, cultural moments, retail activations, and partnerships that deepen our connection with the Torrid community. Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Social Media, Creative, Ecommerce, Merchandising, Retail, and external agency partners, you'll develop integrated campaigns that generate conversation, drive traffic, and reinforce Torrid's position as the leading fashion destination for curve.  

What You'll Do:  

Public Relations & Brand Storytelling  

  • Develop and execute integrated PR strategies aligned with seasonal campaigns, product launches, brand initiatives, and key business priorities. 
  • Build earned media programs that increase brand awareness, strengthen brand perception, and generate meaningful press coverage across fashion, lifestyle, business, retail, and culture. 
  • Cultivate strong relationships with editors, journalists, stylists, producers, industry partners, and media outlets. 
  • Develop compelling storytelling opportunities that highlight Torrid's product innovation, customer community, inclusive brand values, and business initiatives. 
  • Partner with executive leadership on corporate communications, executive visibility, speaking opportunities, CSR initiatives, and reputation management. 
  • Support crisis communications planning and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely, consistent messaging. 

Experiential Marketing & Events  

  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of consumer events, retail activations, casting experiences, product launches, community events, fashion experiences, and national brand campaigns. 
  • Create immersive experiences that build emotional connections with customers while driving traffic, engagement, loyalty, and brand advocacy. 
  • Partner with Retail, Store Operations, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing to execute best-in-class in-store and off-site experiences. 
  • Oversee event production, agency management, budgets, timelines, logistics, staffing, and vendor relationships. 
  • Measure event success through attendance, earned media, customer engagement, social amplification, loyalty acquisition, and business performance. 

Brand Collaborations & Partnerships  

  • Identify and develop strategic collaborations that expand Torrid's reach, strengthen cultural relevance, and introduce the brand to new audiences. 
  • Build relationships with fashion, beauty, entertainment, lifestyle, nonprofit, licensing, and retail partners to create meaningful partnership opportunities. 
  • Evaluate collaboration opportunities based on brand alignment, customer value, and commercial impact. 
  • Lead collaboration strategy from concept through execution, ensuring seamless cross-functional alignment. 

Creator, Influencer & Emerging Media  

  • Partner closely with the Social Media teams to develop integrated earned-first campaigns that maximize storytelling across owned, earned, and creator channels. 
  • Identify emerging creators, influential voices, and community ambassadors who authentically represent the Torrid customer. 
  • Develop creator experiences that generate organic storytelling before, during, and after key campaigns and events. 
  • Explore new platforms, emerging media opportunities, live experiences, podcasts, streaming, creator communities, and innovative content formats that increase brand visibility. 
  • Stay ahead of evolving consumer behaviors, media trends, and cultural conversations to identify opportunities for the brand to lead. 

Cross-Functional Leadership  

  • Lead PR and experiential agency partners, establishing clear objectives, KPIs, budgets, and performance expectations. 
  • Partner closely with Creative, Social, Ecommerce, Merchandising, Retail Marketing, Loyalty, Customer Experience, and Executive Leadership to deliver integrated campaigns. 
  • Manage annual budgets, forecasts, contracts, and campaign reporting. 
  • Establish success metrics and regularly report campaign performance, earned media, event ROI, partnership results, and customer engagement insights. 
  • Mentor team members while fostering collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence. 

What You'll Need:  

  • 8+ years of experience in public relations, experiential marketing, integrated marketing, or brand partnerships, preferably within fashion, retail, beauty, or lifestyle brands. 
  • Proven success leading integrated PR campaigns, consumer events, retail activations, and experiential marketing programs. 
  • Experience developing strategic brand collaborations and partnership marketing initiatives. 
  • Strong understanding of today's evolving media landscape, including traditional media, creators, influencers, social platforms, podcasts, live experiences, and emerging channels. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build authentic relationships with media, creators, agency partners, and industry leaders. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously. 
  • Experience managing agencies, budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and storytelling skills. 
  • Analytical mindset with experience measuring campaign performance and optimizing results. 
  • Passion for community-building, inclusive fashion, customer experience, and cultural storytelling.

Salary range: $115,000 - $150,000
