Success as a Technical Program Manager in our Connected Vehicle Software division requires a professional who is centered around product and engineering excellence with a strong bias for action. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our software delivery is seamless, scalable, and high-quality.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
  • Partner with stakeholders to define, scope, and deliver technical initiatives that span multiple teams and multiple organizations across Ford.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and help achieve alignment on prioritized initiatives.
  • Assist in defining and tracking success criteria and performance metrics, including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), to ensure program health.
  • Implement and execute roadmaps, schedules, project plans to enable Ford to meet customer commitments across all customer constituencies.
  • Support and drive modern software development practices, including scrums, backlog grooming, and dependency tracking using tools like Jira.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks across multiple engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with other divisions at Ford to ensure technical dependencies are identified early and quality standards are maintained.
  • Act as a voice for the customer within the engineering team, using data to help guide decision-making and prioritization.

Qualifications
You'll have...
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of total working experience in program management, product or feature development involving hardware, software, or services.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a technical capacity (e.g., as an engineer, developer, or systems analyst) or working very closely with an engineering team on complex software builds.
  • 3+ years Familiarity with modern software tracking tools (ie: JIRA, etc.).
  • 3+ years Familiarity with modern software development practices & tools (continuous integration / continuous deployment).
  • 3+ years Demonstrated success leading complex, large-scale, cross-functional software programs.
  • 3+ years Experience influencing and driving alignment across engineering, product, and business. stakeholders from concept through launch and post launch iteration.
  • 3+ years Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $115,000-$192,900.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
