Job description

COMMUNITY & SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING MANAGER
Tim Moran Hyundai - Hemet, California
Position Summary
Tim Moran Hyundai is looking for a bilingual, energetic, outgoing, and highly creative Community & Social Media Marketing Manager to become a recognizable face of our dealership.
This is not a traditional, behind-the-desk marketing position. The primary purpose of this role is to create engaging social media videos that give local customers compelling reasons to visit Tim Moran Hyundai-and to build meaningful relationships throughout Hemet and the surrounding communities.
The right person will be confident on camera, comfortable approaching new people, enthusiastic about attending community events, and capable of turning creative ideas into measurable dealership traffic.
Primary Responsibilities
Social Media Content and Video Production
  • Serve as one of the primary on-camera personalities for Tim Moran Hyundai.
  • Record frequent short-form videos for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant platforms.
  • Personally invite local customers to visit the dealership, meet our team, attend events, and take advantage of current offers.
  • Produce videos featuring:
    • New and pre-owned vehicle walkarounds
    • Hyundai technology and safety demonstrations
    • Current dealership promotions
    • New vehicle arrivals
    • Customer delivery celebrations
    • Employee introductions
    • Community events and partnerships
    • Behind-the-scenes dealership content
    • Hyundai ownership and maintenance tips
    • Tim Moran Family Plan benefits
  • Develop attention-grabbing video concepts, openings, captions, and calls to action.
  • Film, edit, caption, publish, and organize content using a smartphone and user-friendly editing applications.
  • Respond appropriately to comments and messages and help turn online engagement into dealership visits and sales opportunities.
  • Maintain a consistent posting calendar and recognizable dealership voice.
  • Obtain appropriate customer, employee, parent, school, and event permissions before publishing content.
School and Community Outreach
  • Build relationships with high schools, middle schools, youth sports organizations, booster clubs, nonprofit organizations, churches, first responders, and other community groups.
  • Contact school administrators, athletic directors, coaches, teachers, PTA organizations, booster clubs, and student-group leaders.
  • Offer dealership-supported fundraising opportunities, including:
    • Car wash fundraisers
    • Community barbecues
    • Youth sports fundraisers
    • Booster club events
    • Band, choir, theater, and arts fundraisers
    • Grad Night and senior-class fundraisers
    • Teacher and school-employee appreciation events
    • Test-drive or dealership-sponsored community events, when approved and legally compliant
  • Coordinate event dates, locations, supplies, staffing, promotion, permissions, and follow-up.
  • Attend community meetings, school events, sporting events, festivals, and local business functions.
  • Identify opportunities for Tim Moran Hyundai to support worthwhile local causes.
  • Create social media content before, during, and after every community event.
  • Develop relationships that generate long-term goodwill, referrals, customer visits, and positive recognition for the dealership.
  • Ensure that all school activities comply with district requirements, dealership policies, insurance requirements, and rules governing interactions with minors.
Event Planning and Execution
  • Create and manage an active calendar of dealership and community events.
  • Coordinate dealership employees, volunteers, vendors, food, equipment, promotional materials, signage, and event logistics.
  • Promote each event through social media, email, text messaging, community groups, and dealership channels.
  • Capture photos, customer testimonials, video interviews, and community highlights.
  • Follow up with participating organizations and look for ways to turn successful events into recurring partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate records of event costs, attendance, money raised, leads generated, appointments, and dealership visits.
Performance Expectations
The Community & Social Media Marketing Manager will be evaluated based on measurable activity and results, including:
  • Consistent production of engaging, dealership-branded videos
  • Social media reach, engagement, followers, and video views
  • Customer messages, leads, appointments, and showroom visits generated
  • Number of new school and community relationships established
  • Number of fundraising and community events scheduled and completed
  • Event attendance and funds raised for participating organizations
  • Customer contact information and marketing opportunities generated with proper consent
  • Growth in local awareness and positive sentiment toward Tim Moran Hyundai
  • Timely execution of the monthly marketing and community calendar
  • Ability to connect marketing activity to dealership traffic and vehicle sales
Suggested Monthly Activity Standards
  • Publish a minimum of 20-30 original short-form videos per month
  • Personally appear in multiple videos each week
  • Make at least 15 new community-outreach contacts each week
  • Conduct at least four in-person community visits each week
  • Develop at least three new qualified school or community partnerships each month
  • Schedule or complete a minimum of two dealership-supported community events each month
  • Provide a weekly scorecard showing content produced, outreach activity, events, leads, appointments, showroom visits, and results

These objectives may be adjusted based on seasonality, dealership priorities, and community-event schedules.
Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is:
  • Naturally energetic, positive, enthusiastic, and approachable
  • Confident speaking on camera and interacting with strangers
  • Creative, quick-thinking, and comfortable working without a script
  • Able to communicate professionally with school administrators, parents, students, business owners, community leaders, and dealership customers
  • Highly organized and dependable
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and following up persistently
  • Willing to work outside the dealership and attend evening or weekend events
  • Able to manage several projects and events simultaneously
  • Motivated by measurable results rather than social media activity alone
  • Capable of representing Tim Moran Hyundai professionally in every public setting
  • Passionate about supporting local schools, families, and community organizations
Preferred Experience
  • Social media content creation, community outreach, event planning, public relations, hospitality, broadcasting, sales, or automotive marketing experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Existing relationships within Hemet, San Jacinto, Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula, or the surrounding communities are valuable but not required
  • Automotive experience is helpful but not required

We are willing to teach the automotive business to the right person. Personality, energy, creativity, initiative, reliability, and the ability to connect with people are more important than previous dealership experience.
Position Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel locally for meetings and events
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with reasonable event setup and breakdown
  • Professional appearance and conduct
  • Willingness to be regularly featured in publicly distributed dealership content
  • Ability to follow advertising, privacy, consent, and brand-compliance requirements

  • Recording content at the dealership
  • Visiting schools and community organizations
  • Attending and managing events
  • Editing and publishing content
  • Developing partnerships
  • Tracking leads, traffic, and measurable results

This position should not be viewed as a remote or primarily administrative marketing role.
Compensation
Competitive compensation based on experience, including a base salary and an opportunity to earn performance incentives tied to measurable objectives such as:
  • Qualified appointments and showroom traffic
  • Completed community events
  • New community partnerships
  • Consistent content production
  • Engagement and audience growth
  • Documented vehicle sales influenced by marketing activity

Benefits and additional employment terms will be discussed during the interview process.
