Our network of 850,000+ members and 40+ dedicated investors connects accredited individuals to high-quality venture deals-typically reserved for institutions-through our alumni-driven communities and diversified co-investment strategy. With offices in Boston, New York, Chicago, Menlo Park, Manchester, NH, London and Tokyo we're rapidly growing and committed to fueling entrepreneurial success while developing the next generation of VC professionals.
We believe our best work happens when we're together. AV operates as a 5-day-a-week, in-office culture because collaboration, mentorship, and shared momentum matter.
About This Role
As an Associate Community Manager at Alumni Ventures, you'll play a vital role in supporting our investor community while gaining hands-on exposure to venture capital, startup investing, investor relations, and fund operations.
This role sits at the intersection of customer success, relationship management, investor communications, and financial services. You'll work closely with prospective and existing investors, Managing Partners, Community Managers, and cross-functional teams to support fundraising initiatives, investor engagement activities, and operational processes.
You'll help individuals navigate their journey with Alumni Ventures-from initial interest through investment and ongoing engagement-while developing expertise in client service, investor relations, venture capital, and business operations.
This is an ideal opportunity for professionals who are eager to learn, take ownership, and grow their careers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and direct exposure to senior leadership, you'll build valuable skills in communication, relationship management, project management, operations, and venture investing.
While prior venture capital experience is not required, successful candidates are often interested in investing, entrepreneurship, startups, financial markets, or business strategy and are excited to learn about the venture capital ecosystem.
For the Boston based role, this position would need to commute to Manchester, NH 2-3 times a week.
What You'll Do

  • Assist with virtual events, investor meetings, webinar preparation, and follow-up activities.
  • Help ensure smooth execution of key investor engagement and operational processes.

  • Track engagement activity, investor interactions, and key business metrics.
  • Help maintain clean and accurate data in HubSpot and other internal systems.
  • Support reporting for Community Managers, Partners, and leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, communication, and the overall investor experience.

  • Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
