Job description

Job Title: District Discovery Program Coach
Department: Academy
Reports to: Pre Academy & Discovery Program Manager
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Pre Academy & Discovery Program Manager, the District Discovery Program Coach will focus on all aspects of player development in collaboration with the Academy Player Development Pathway. This individual will provide supplemental soccer instruction, identify rising talent for the Academy from the Cincinnati, & Dayton Regional Discovery Program, and provide coaching education all within the local soccer market. This position is considered hourly non-exempt. Due to the cyclical nature of the football industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.
What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with the Regional Development Program (RDP) on all aspects of Pre Formation player development and identification, while serving as a leader in the Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky area soccer community in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Support the technical operations of the Regional Discovery training programs, including player identification and recruitment for U9-U12 age groups, maintaining the recruitment database, and managing player and training session records.
  • Regularly assess performance and skill development for each Discovery player through scheduled evaluations, while also supporting development opportunities for players outside the Academy system as needed.
  • Work towards the successful implementation of the Club Performance Plan and set the standard for the club in terms of knowledge and work ethics.
  • Be proactive in seeking educational opportunities to grow as a coach and to help with the development of the club.
  • Maintain and develop positive relationships with the public and strategic youth soccer partners to enhance the brand and strengthen community engagement.

  • A strong commitment to maintaining safety, professionalism, and a supportive environment while assisting in the day-to-day operations of the academy program.
  • Willingness to represent the Club at events and functions when needed, consistently demonstrating professionalism and respectful conduct in all interactions.
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and priorities, including event planning, addressing player welfare concerns, and supporting assigned academy administrative tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

What You'll Need:
  • Broad soccer related background.
  • Proven ability to organize, communicate, and effectively deliver soccer-specific content with both practical and theoretical knowledge.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
  • US Soccer "C" Coaching License or higher required.
  • Minimum 5 years of coaching experience.
  • To be able to work Monday and Friday evenings
