Qualifications
  • Minimum five years of progressive senior leadership experience within a credit union or financial institution.
  • Credit union leadership experience required; experience in community-based institutions under $100 million in assets preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in improving financial performance, leading organizational growth, and executing strategic initiatives.
  • Experience working effectively with a Board of Directors and a strong understanding of governance best practices.
  • Strong operational, financial, and business development experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to community engagement and relationship building, with the ability to serve as a visible ambassador for the credit union.
  • Experience serving underserved markets or working with a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
  • Strategic Builder – Develops and executes a clear vision that strengthens the organization and positions the credit union for sustainable growth.
  • Financial Steward – Improves financial performance, manages risk, and ensures sound operational and regulatory practices.
  • Organizational Leader – Builds strong teams, develops talent, and creates a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Community Leader – Serves as a visible ambassador for the credit union and builds relationships throughout the Greenville and Simpsonville communities. Experience working with underserved markets or a CDFI is a plus.
  • Governance Partner – Works effectively with the Board of Directors through open communication, sound governance, and a clear understanding of board and management responsibilities.
