Job description

Community Reinvestment Outreach Team Member

Join BMO's Community Reinvestment Outreach team and help drive meaningful impact across emerging markets in Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. In this role, you'll lead the execution of BMO's Community Benefits Plan and CRA outreach strategystrengthening community partnerships, elevating financial inclusion, and deepening BMO's presence across diverse and underserved communities.

Experience with the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) is required. Frequent travel and community engagement are essential to this role.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the CRA subject?matter expert for your region, ensuring strong performance across CRA Lending, Investment, and Service.
  • Conduct and interpret CRA/community needs assessments, including rural and Native American communities.
  • Build strong relationships with regional presidents and market leaders to align on community needs and opportunities.
  • Partner across lines of business to support CRA goals and create effective market action plans.
  • Collaborate closely with CRA Governance on performance tracking, exam preparation, and performance context documentation.
  • Train leaders and employees on logging and reporting community development activities.
  • Cultivate partnerships with community, civic, nonprofit, philanthropic, and advocacy organizationspositioning BMO as a trusted partner.
  • Represent BMO at local and national events, including speaking engagements.
  • Connect community partners to key BMO programs (e.g., EMpower, special purpose credit programs).
  • Manage strategic grants and sponsorships to maximize community impact.
  • Support fair lending initiatives when needed.
  • Assist leaders with community development referrals and volunteer initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Deep expertise in the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and experience working with underrepresented communities, nonprofits, and for?profit partners.
  • Strong relationship?building skills and the ability to influence across large, complex organizations.
  • Sound judgment, proactive problem?solving, and the ability to pivot quickly to emerging community needs.
  • Experience or familiarity with rural and Native American communities is highly valued.
  • Willingness to travel within your region at least 25% of the time.

Salary: $66,600.00 - $124,200.00

Pay Type: Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
