Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in the organization, support, and coordination of all aspects of the College and Career Development Department.
  • Manage concurrent tasks effectively and complete assignments by deadlines.
  • Facilitate arrangements for meetings and professional development classes.
    • Maintain professional learning records.
  • Anticipate and effectively support supervisor's job related needs.
    • Generate reports to provide data analysis for various programs.
  • Handle routine matters in a professional manner in the absence of supervisor.
  • Maintain an effective and efficiently run office, including the maintenance of accurate files and the generation of printing requests, copies, and other resources as needed.
  • Maintain records and files for supervisor in an efficient, orderly, and accurate manner.
  • Assist in monitoring monthly budget reports.
  • Assist in developing accurate budget amendments and travel requests.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly budgets, substitute teacher funding reports, miscellaneous payroll, purchasing card and travel card reports for accuracy.
  • Cooperate with and demonstrate a positive relationship with division, department, and other district employees.
    • Communicate information concerning the Academies and Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education program to a variety of audiences, including parents, community, and school based personnel.
    • Communicate information concerning the Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science programs to a variety of audiences, including parents, community, and school based personnel.
    • Serve as the first line customer service contact for the department of College and Career Development
  • Support supervisors by being knowledgeable of department programs and procedures.
  • Assist with various financial and accounting duties.
    • Submit miscellaneous payroll and other accounting tasks as required.
    • Assist with staff development preparation, sign-in and reporting.
  • Assist with coordination and preparation of annual events.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
