Industrial Security Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior)

The Boeing Company is looking for an Industrial Security Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the team in El Segundo, CA.

Join our team as a security professional where you'll use systems likeJPAS/DISS,Scattered Castles,JADE,JADS, andSIMSto directly enable classified program success.

You'll work on mission-focused briefings on classification marking, OPSEC, and physical/communications security; own personnel and classified-material records to ensure accountability and data integrity; and develop practical CONOPs and procedures for handling, storing, and transporting proprietary materials.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements

  • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action

  • Assists with Administrative Inquiries (e.g., collects and analyzes data, writes reports and interviews) on personnel, processes and situations to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements

  • Assists with Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities (including inventory, distribution and destruction)

  • Assists in the protection of government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures

  • Develops, implements and administers an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs

  • Performs Personnel Security processes to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses

  • Assists in developing and conducting security awareness training and education programs to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information

  • Assists in sub-contractor management to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements

  • Demonstrate proficiency with/utilize specific databases to determine personnel eligibility to access classified information -DISS, Scattered Castles, JADE, JADS, Enterprise Security Systems (SIMS), and other databases and record-keeping repositories

  • Conducts initial and recurring security briefings to cleared workforce members on topics such as critical program information, marking, safeguarding and destroying classified information, operations security, physical and communication security, and other security training as required

  • Manages personnel records, classified material records and/or other sensitive records in to ensure the highest levels of data integrity and correctness

  • Conducts inventories and records reconciliation actions to ensure accuracy and accountability

  • Prepares activity or program concept of operation (CONOPs) outlining unique security protection requirements for sensitive operations; establishing procedures for protecting, handling, storing, and transporting proprietary materials

  • Coordinates across the security workforce, Boeing engineering, managerial and technical teams, as well as senior Boeing personnel and U.S. Government customers to seek contract execution approvals, security rulings or deviations as may be required

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years

  • 3+ years of experience in Industrial Security

  • 3+ years of experience in personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and/or other programmatic security-related field

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and outlook)

  • Experience with oral and written communications skills

  • Ability to obtain a successful US government polygraph examination
