As a Senior Operations Supervisor you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Utilizing principle-based leadership, lead employees through a culture of respect and teamwork
  • Engaging your team to align to a strategic plan around safety, customer service, quality and productivity
  • Catalyzing continuous improvement with a heavy focus on safety, productivity, and employee relations.
  • Driving consistency and accountability regarding all policies, procedures and expectations throughout the production organization using principle-based leadership.
  • Determining staffing and prioritization to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Developing operator & supervisor skills and engagement and encouraging problem solving and recognition of performance.
  • Collaborating with the Operations Manager, Operations Peers, and the Production Planning, Plant Engineering, and Manufacturing Teams to understand strategy and execute improvement efforts.
  • Willingness to be available and at times on-call to support 24/7 continuous operations. Position will be off shift, afternoon or night shift depending on preference

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • High School diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of seven (7) years of supervisory experience in a private, public, government or military environment

OR
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of four (4) years of supervisory experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience and certification with Lean Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Experience in operational excellence, lean implementation, and financial accounting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to develop people and build a culture of trust and collaboration
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation)

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
