The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily waste collection, transportation, disposal, and recycling operations. You'll be responsible for service delivery, regulatory compliance, employee safety, fleet performance, and customer satisfaction, all while managing operational costs and productivity. Responsibilities

• Manages daily residential, commercial, and industrial waste collection operations.

• Supervises drivers, dispatchers, route supervisors, and other operational staff.

• Develops and optimizes collection routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

• Monitors fleet utilization, maintenance schedules, and equipment performance.

• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

• Enforces company safety policies and conducts regular safety training.

• Investigates accidents, incidents, and customer complaints, and implements corrective actions.

• Manages operational budgets, labor costs, fuel usage, and disposal expenses.

• Coordinates with landfill, transfer station, and recycling facility personnel.

• Tracks and reports operational KPIs, including route completion rates, productivity, and customer service metrics.

• Recruits, trains, and evaluates operational employees.

• Collaborates with sales and customer service teams to support business growth and service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Environmental Services, or a related field preferred, but not required.

• 3-7 years of operations management experience, preferably in waste management, transportation, logistics, or fleet operations.

• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA requirements, and environmental compliance standards.
