Job description

Position Summary
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between Innovative Ag Services (IAS) and the Company's external marketing partner. This position is responsible for coordinating internal and external communications, supporting social media and website initiatives, gathering content across business units, and ensuring a consistent and professional brand presence throughout the organization.
The Communications Coordinator is a member of the HR team but works closely with leaders across all departments to identify communication opportunities, coordinate and executing marketing requests, support employee and customer communications, and assist with community engagement activities. While marketing strategy, advertising, website development, and digital campaigns are managed by the external marketing partner, this role is instrumental in ensuring successful execution, alignment, and communication of company initiatives.
The Communications Coordinator will be expected to leverage modern technology and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, support content development, enhance communications, and help IAS continue advancing its use of innovative workplace solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communications & Content Coordination
  • Coordinate internal and external communications across the organization.
  • Assist with the development and distribution of employee communications, announcements, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Gather information, stories, photos, and content from departments and locations throughout the company.
  • Ensure messaging is consistent with IAS branding and communication standards.
  • Support leadership communications and company-wide initiatives.

Agency Liaison
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between IAS and the external marketing partner.
  • Coordinate project requests, content submissions, approvals, and timelines.
  • Facilitate communication between agency representatives and internal stakeholders.
  • Track project progress and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Review marketing reports and coordinate follow-up activities.

Website & Digital Content Support
  • Coordinate website content updates and communicate website needs to the marketing partner.
  • Support blog development and content management efforts.
  • Assist with gathering information for digital marketing campaigns.
  • Help maintain current and accurate online content.

Social Media Support
  • Coordinate content for company social media channels.
  • Gather photos, videos, employee highlights, customer success stories, and community involvement content.
  • Assist with social media content calendars and campaign support.
  • Monitor social channels and identify opportunities for engagement and promotion.

Event & Community Engagement Support
  • Assist with company events, sponsorships, trade shows, career fairs, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Coordinate promotion of community involvement activities.
  • Support event communications, photography, and content development.

Brand Support
  • Help maintain consistency in company branding and messaging.
  • Coordinate marketing materials and communication assets.
  • Assist with podcast, video, and promotional project coordination.
  • Identify opportunities to improve communication effectiveness and employee engagement.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in communications, marketing coordination, public relations, administrative support, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Adaptability
  • Regular use of a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment.
  • Occasional travel to company locations, community events, and industry functions.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside normal business hours to support events and communications activities.
  • Requires static strength to lift, push, pull, or, on occasion, carry objects with a minimum weight of 50 pounds. Also flexibility to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Some tasks involve repetitive motion.
