Job description

Job Announcement:
The City of Webster's Public Works Department seeks a reliable, dependable, responsible Equipment Operator. The ideal candidate for the City of Webster's Equipment Operator position is able to offer continuous City services. This Equipment Operator's primary duty will be to support the Parks Maintenance Crew through effective operation of excavation equipment, tractors, boom mower, field groomer, trencher, and other equipment pertinent to the position, to enhance beautification efforts and park functionality. This position provides direction to other employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience is required. Three (3) years is preferred.
  • Valid state of Texas CDL Drivers' License and Equipment Operator Certification

Special Requirements:
This is an essential services position, and the employee will be required to provide services in the course and scope of employment for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Webster's citizens. Federal Emergency Management [FEMA] training may be required within six (6) months of hire.
