Job description

ย SUMMARY

The Ace Store Director is responsible for ensuring superior customer service in their store. They must develop Associates at all levels, drive sales and profitability, and maintain effective expense and payroll budget management. They will also ensure compliance with effective inventory management and merchandising practices and all store policies and procedures.ย ย ย 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives store sales by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged, customer projects needs are met, and concerns are resolved quickly.
  • Hires, trains and develops retail staff with goals for growth and success in their positions, provides performance feedback and recognizes accomplishments.
  • Performs bookkeeping and payroll functions
  • Controls shrink, expenses andย labor
  • Coordinates the overall supervision of retail staff to ensure sales performance goals are met and procedures are followed accurately
  • Regulates retail inventory to reduce shrinkage, maintains appropriate stock levels and ensures report accuracy
  • Directs the shipping, receiving and inventory flow for the store
  • Forecasts scheduling needs to meet customer demand and creates work schedules
  • Delegates daily workload among Associates to meet merchandising and visual presentation standards
  • Aware of competition activity and report results: shares information with supervisor and makes appropriate recommendations
  • Ensures compliance with all laws, policies and procedures.
  • Follows all ACE programs/promotions
  • Acts as Niemann Foods representative within the store and community
  • Enforces safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisorย

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages all Associates in the store.ย 
  • Overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the store and Associates.ย 
  • Follows NFI policies and applicable federal, state and local laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Possess vast product knowledge of hardware related products
  • Minimum of 2 years retail management experience
  • Knowledge of retail computer systems, Word and Excel a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.ย 
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.ย 
  • Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.ย 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages, distribution, penetration, gross profit, and sales per associate hour)ย
