Consultants assess current communication strategies, identify gaps, and develop tailored solutions to enhance clarity, engagement, and brand reputation. They often provide expertise in areas like public relations, crisis communication, media training, and digital communications. The goal is to ensure messages are effective, consistent, and aligned with organizational objectives.

At OneDigital, we are on a mission to help people do their best work and live their best lives. From the services we offer to the way we show up for each other each day, we are fueling dreams, achieving big goals, and embracing each other's truest selves.

We understand that pursuing a new job is a big deal. Maybe you're afraid you won't fit in. Well, here's the good news. For us, the days of "fit in to get in" are over and being different is not a barrier to getting ahead. Greatness comes in all shapes, sizes, colors, and experience levels. If you are looking for a people-first culture that is wired for growth, driven to serve, and totally committed to having your back, give us a shot.Your best life awaits.

Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

We kindly ask that external recruiters, agencies, and search firms do not contact our hiring managers or employees directly regarding open positions. All candidate submissions must go through our official application process and must be made aware to our internal Talent Acquisition team to verify candidate ownership.

Unsolicited resumes or candidate profiles sent to OneDigital without a prior signed agreement will be considered the property of OneDigital. In such cases, OneDigital reserves the right to pursue and hire those candidates without any financial obligation to the agency or recruiter.

Our Newest Opportunity:

OneDigital is recognized for its fast-paced, high-performance culture where everyone belongs and where everyone is supported in a career where they can do their best work and live their best life. The Internal Communications Manager is at the center of keeping that culture alive and felt by every employee. This role is responsible for providing strategic guidance to our internal stakeholders to deliver communications that make employees feel informed, valued, and connected to the work that matters most.

This is not a reactive, order-taking role. We are looking for a communicator who thinks strategically, consults like an advisor, plans ahead, and uses every tool available, including AI, with both skill and sound judgment. Equally important: you lead with emotional intelligence.

Qualified candidates will take an AI-first approach to their role by using AI to accelerate planning, evaluating employee sentiment, generating draft communication plans and other content, message testing, and summarizing complex information. Equally as important, AI fluency must also be combined with human judgment to refine tone, anticipate reactions, and ensure alignment with organizational values and internal brand standards. Candidates who have demonstrated AI skills such as building prompt libraries and workflows are a plus.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Communications Consulting

  • Serve as a proactive thought partner to People & Culture and other senior internal leaders, bringing recommendations and communication plans before they are requested.
  • Coach leaders and managers on the human dimensions of their communications, helping them connect with employees authentically rather than defaulting to corporate language.

Strategic Communications Planning and Execution

  • Build and manage communication calendars that look 30-90 days ahead, ensuring timely, coordinated messaging across all internal channels. Demonstrated experience in HR communications, a plus.
  • Develop and execute integrated internal communication strategies that support the business objectives of our stakeholders. Manage the production of a variety of communication assets: email campaigns, intranet content, video scripts, town hall materials, manager toolkits, and recognition spotlights.
  • Have a "reporter" mindset, identifying and developing stories that reinforce our key priorities.
  • Apply AI tools strategically to accelerate content production while owning all editorial judgment, quality control, and final approval.

Change management

  • Lead change communications with empathy and clarity.
  • Ensure managers receive communications first and are equipped with context and talking points before organization-wide distribution.
  • Read the emotional state of the organization, recognizing when employees need reassurance, not just information, and adapt messaging tone, timing, and channel accordingly.

Measurement

  • Design feedback-informed communication systems, tracking what resonates, what doesn't, and using those insights to improve every future campaign. Measure communication effectiveness through open rates, pulse survey results, feedback loops, and employee comprehension indicators, and report findings to stakeholders.

Team collaboration

  • Partner with the Internal Brand manager to develop graphics and other visual identity for internal communications.
  • Lead the Communication Council, representing communicators from across different business lines.
  • Participate in the "mixternal" committee to develop content that is shared across internal and external channels.

Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements

What You Bring

  • 4-7+ years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, or a related HR/People function.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting HR/benefits, learning & development, recruiting and talent programs.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and message across audiences, from individual contributors to executives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a proactive, organized approach.
  • Experience designing communication strategies for organizational change, not just writing announcements.
  • Familiarity with using and publishing to internal communication platforms (intranets, email tools, digital signage, internal social media, etc.).
  • Comfortable working with AI writing tools, with sound editorial judgment to evaluate and refine AI-generated content.
  • High emotional intelligence - the ability to read the room, adapt your approach to different stakeholders, and communicate with empathy during moments of uncertainty or change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to push back on stakeholders and advocate for the employee audience.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, HR, or a related field - or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in professional services, insurance, employee benefits, financial services, or HR consulting industries.
  • Familiarity with change management frameworks (Prosci, ADKAR, or similar).
  • Experience building or contributing to a communications governance structure.
  • Understanding of employer branding, employee value proposition (EVP) messaging, or talent marketing.
  • Knowledge of intranet governance, information architecture and content lifecycle.
