What We Need

We are currently hiring a Unified Communication Engineer specializing in Microsoft Teams. The Unified Communication Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting unified communications and collaboration solutions within the company.  This includes implementing and managing Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone, video conferencing systems, and session border controllers. The candidate will collaborate closely with network teams to ensure a robust network architecture to deliver the highest level of quality for unified communications applications. The role will work closely with IT teams and business leaders to ensure the optimal performance, security, and usability of the solutions and services.

How We Work

The Unified Communication Engineer will work five days a week at our Peachtree Corners, GA office location. We will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities 

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Designing and deploying effective collaboration solutions using Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Teams Phone. Have experience with the different Microsoft Teams PSTN connectivity options including Direct Routing and Operator Connect.
  • Leading, planning and executing complex migrations from various other unified communication platforms to Microsoft Teams as part of the business acquisition process.
  • Serving as the internal strategy owner and subject matter expert on Session Border Controllers.
  • Configuring and maintaining video conferencing systems based on Microsoft Teams Rooms globally. Review designs and oversee installations done by AV integration partners.
  • Leveraging scripting expertise to automate routine processes and support migration activities.
  • Providing expert level technical support to resolve complex issues for unified communications and collaboration platforms.
  • Providing engineering support for network maintenance and initiatives impacting unified communications platforms.
  • Conducting regular system audits to ensure compliance with the standards and security practices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that deliver value to the business.
  • Staying current with emerging Copilot AI technology and the impact to Microsoft Teams
  • Documenting and maintaining the collaboration policies, procedures, and best practices

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent proven technical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years prior job-related experience.
  • Proven experience in an engineering or architecture role overseeing global deployments of Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone and Teams Rooms.
  • Experience on Session Border Controllers (Oracle Acme Packet, Ribbon, AudioCodes, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerShell or other scripting environments.
  • Proficiency in deploying and managing audio/visual equipment.
  • Strong understanding of networks, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and QoS.
