Their responsibilities are similar to other registered nurses, but they are employed specifically by CommonSpirit Health and adhere to its standards, values, and care protocols. CommonSpirit emphasizes compassionate care, community health, and advancing health equity. RNs at CommonSpirit have access to ongoing education, professional development, and opportunities for advancement within the organization.

Strong communication, compassion, teamwork, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for working effectively with patients, families, and medical teams. These skills and qualifications are essential to deliver safe, high-quality patient care and maintain excellence in a collaborative healthcare environment.

RN Emergency Services

As an ER Nurse at CHI St. Gabriel's Health, you'll be the first touchpoint to the people in our community during health emergencies. No two days in emergency nursing are ever the same. You're a multitasker who can react quickly as you'll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while you're providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team, you'll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients by performing IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions.

To thrive as an ER nurse, you should exhibit teamwork, professionalism, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to take on additional projects such as patient experience initiatives. More than anything, you should be energetic and motivated to provide quality care to all of our patients, maintaining their dignity at every step.

Job Requirements Required: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, RN in Minnesota, BLS, ACLS within 12 months of hire, TNCC within 24 months of hire, ENPC within 24 months of hire, ATCN may be substituted for TNCC, PALS may be substituted for ENPC. Preferred: Two years emergency nursing experience, knowledge of nursing principles, policies, procedures and hospital ethics.

In Central Minnesota you'll find quality health care as near to you as CHI St. Gabriel's Health in Little Falls, part of CommonSpirit Health. We've been serving this area since 1892 and we have the equipment, experience, and expertise to offer you a full range of the latest health services.

Unless directed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement, applications for this position will be considered on a rolling basis. CommonSpirit Health cannot anticipate the date by which a successful candidate may be identified.
