Position Summary
We are seeking a curious, analytical, and execution-oriented Product Management Intern to support the development and adoption of AI-enabled products and workflow automation initiatives across the organization. Working closely with the SVP, Strategic Projects and cross-functional partners, the intern will help identify high-value use cases, translate business needs into clear product requirements, support rapid prototyping, and measure the impact of AI-powered solutions. This internship is ideal for a student who is interested in the intersection of product management, artificial intelligence, business operations, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, and business teams to identify and evaluate opportunities where AI can simplify complex workflows, improve user experiences, or increase operational efficiency.
Gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements for AI-enabled products, workflow automations, and internal tools.
Translate business needs into product requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and prioritized backlogs.
Support the discovery, design, prototyping, testing, and rollout of AI product concepts, including proof-of-concept solutions and dashboards.
Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and workflow analysis to understand pain points, validate assumptions, and define measurable outcomes.
Contribute to AI initiatives across multiple products and business lines
Develop frameworks and scorecards for measuring AI product success, including adoption, accuracy, time savings, quality, user satisfaction, and business impact.
Assist with defining MVP scope, prioritizing features, evaluating trade-offs, and maintaining clear product roadmaps and delivery plans.
Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to track milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and action items.
Support product testing by documenting test scenarios, gathering feedback, identifying issues, and validating that solutions meet user and business requirements.
Research emerging AI capabilities, product management practices, and relevant market trends, and summarize practical implications for the organization.
Prepare clear presentations, product updates, recommendations, and demonstrations for business and senior leadership audiences.
Maintain product documentation, decision logs, implementation materials, and user guidance to support successful adoption.
Apply responsible AI principles by considering data quality, privacy, security, transparency, human oversight, and potential business risks throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Product Management, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
Demonstrated interest in AI-enabled products, automation, digital platforms, or technology-driven business transformation.
Foundational understanding of product management practices, including customer discovery, requirements gathering, user stories, prioritization, MVP definition, and product metrics.
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous business challenges.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and follow through on commitments.
Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and geographically distributed environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 productivity tools or comparable collaboration, presentation, and data-analysis platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous internship, academic, or project experience in product management, software development, business analysis, consulting, operations, or UX research.
Experience creating product requirements, business cases, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, dashboards, or process documentation.
Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt design, AI agents, retrieval-based applications, or machine-learning product concepts.
Experience with low-code or no-code automation and prototyping tools.
Exposure to agile delivery methods, product analytics, experimentation, A/B testing, or data visualization.
Interest in regulated, data-intensive, financial, sustainability, energy, or environmental markets.
What Success Looks Like
High-value AI and automation opportunities are clearly defined, prioritized, and connected to measurable business outcomes.
Product requirements and user stories are clear, actionable, and grounded in stakeholder and user needs.
Prototypes and product concepts are tested efficiently, with feedback incorporated into practical recommendations.
