Job description

TEKsystems is partnering with a client looking for a Commissioning Mechanical Engineer to lead vendor instruction and certification efforts within a data center environment. This contractor will train and evaluate vendors on executing functional testing scripts across mechanical systems such as chillers, cooling towers, CRAC/CRAH units, AHUs, and pumping systems, as well as Building Management Systems (BMS). The role includes conducting hands-on field training, assessing technician competency, issuing certifications, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Additionally, the position supports the ongoing development and enhancement of a structured vendor training program by contributing to curriculum, materials, and assessments. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of data center mechanical commissioning experience, strong BMS expertise, and excellent technical communication and evaluation skills.

This is a Contract position based out of Portage, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
