Job description

Come join a global team of dedicated Wireless Technologies professionals who utilize our skills and expertise to ensure Apple's wireless test labs are at the forefront of new innovations. We are seeking a creative, practical, and collaborative individual with a good skill set and broad experience to manage day-to-day activities at our Santa Clara Valley wireless test labs.
Description
The Wireless Lab Program Manager is responsible for the daily operations and overall management of several Apple RF test labs in the Santa Clara Valley for the Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems organization. You will also oversee the design and execution of new installations, handle engineering change requests in existing labs, and implement innovative solutions to address challenging & constantly evolving RF test environments. The position will require troubleshooting RF distribution systems, fiber-optic networks, chamber test setups, IP networking, and the overall management of multiple RF shield rooms.
As the local SME for RF topics, you will be relied upon to ensure that wireless testing in Apple’s RF labs is conducted effectively, efficiently, and safely. You will also be tasked with managing multiple concurrent RF-related projects, supervising and tasking technical subcontractors, and planning and implementing complex lab infrastructure enhancements.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience with RF spectrum analysis and signal modulation.
Familiarity with passive and active Distributed Antenna System (DAS) installation and operation.
Strong logical troubleshooting skills-- ability to troubleshoot complex RF system issues.
High-level proficiency with RF test equipment.
Expertise with coaxial cabling, ability to terminate connectors, sweep, and PIM test lines.
Experience in lab environments with knowledge of RF shielding enclosures, equipment rack installation, cable management, and antennas.
Proven ability to work independently and also collaborate effectively with a wide variety of technical teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience with mobile network operations or cellular test lab environments.
Strong knowledge and experience with wireless carrier networks, including design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of RAN equipment.
Experienced with managing installation teams and executing lab engineering projects.
Knowledgeable on lab, electrical, and RF safety topics.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $120,900 and $249,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
