Job description

What You'll Do:
  • Plan and develop customer turf and ornamental plans, including fertilizer, seed, disease, pest, and water management program portfolios
  • Responsible to the Turf & Ornamental Sales Manager
  • Expand customer’s trust to be the agronomic business partner of choice
  • Integrate and position proprietary products into customer business plans
  • Recognize and communicate company finance programs when applicable
  • Keep confidential customer information, accurate records, and organized business plans
  • Sell company products and services within the Forestry market within the Texas/Louisiana territory
  • Maintain sales programs within assigned territory/accounts
  • Develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales of Forestry management products, services, and solutions designed to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of product features, benefits, and use
  • Maintain continuing education on marketing techniques, products, and services
  • Initiate trials that support marketing efforts
  • Represent Nutrien Ag Solutions at various trade shows and related industry meetings
  • Research and respond to technical inquiries. Consult with regional and national sales management and key brand manufacturers on issues and prescribe appropriate actions to resolve issues. Resolve issues associated with adverse product results
  • Develop sales of proprietary surfactants and adjuvant formulations
  • Make safety a daily priority
  • Other duties as required
What You'll Bring:
  • 2+ years’ experience in Turf, Ornamental, Plant Health Care, Chemicals and Fertilizer
  • 2 or 4 year degree in Forestry, Agricultural, Environmental Science or related field is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in Turf and Ornamental or a combination of education and work experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work additional hours to meet business demands
  • Proficient use of computer programs to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
