Job description

Regional Sales Manager – Channel Sales (OEM, EPC & Distribution)

Location: Home-office based within the U.S. Southeast or Texas, preferably near a major airport in Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Birmingham, Raleigh, or Houston/Dallas.

Make an impact with Ruhrpumpen

At Ruhrpumpen, you’ll join a global leader in engineered pumping solutions serving critical industries such as water & wastewater, oil & gas, chemicals, power, and general manufacturing. We value ownership, agility, and long-term partnerships. If you enjoy building markets—not just managing accounts—this role is for you.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth through OEMs, EPC contractors, and industrial distributors across the Southeast and Texas.

This is a highly autonomous, field-based role where you will act as the commercial lead for the territory, developing partner capabilities, influencing project specifications early, and expanding Ruhrpumpen’s footprint through indirect channels and strategic relationships.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and execute the channel growth strategy across OEMs, EPCs, and distributors.

  • Manage and expand existing partners while identifying and onboarding new ones.

  • Conduct joint sales calls, technical presentations, and product training to strengthen partner effectiveness.

  • Influence specifications with engineers, contractors, and end users early in the project cycle.

  • Support quoting, positioning, and competitive differentiation to win project-based opportunities.

  • Develop territory plans, forecasts, and pipeline management using CRM.

  • Provide regular market intelligence on competitors, trends, and customer needs.

  • Collaborate closely with Market Managers, Engineering, and Applications teams.

  • Travel within the region 60–70%, including overnight trips.

What You Bring
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial pumps, rotating equipment, or fluid handling equipment sales.

  • Strong experience working through distribution, OEM, or EPC channels.

  • Success managing multi-state territories and long, project-driven sales cycles.

  • Ability to balance technical and commercial conversations with engineers and decision-makers.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently from a home office.

  • Based near a major airport for efficient regional travel.

Why Ruhrpumpen?
  • Competitive base salary + uncapped commissions

  • Remote flexibility with strong field presence

  • Opportunity to influence major industrial and infrastructure projects

  • Global brand with entrepreneurial culture

  • Collaborative team with strong technical support
