These actors may portray characters, execute stunts, or demonstrate advanced riding techniques as required by the script or project. The work often requires a combination of acting ability and expert horsemanship, ensuring both the safety of the rider and horse while delivering a convincing performance. Commission horse riding actors may work as freelancers or be represented by agencies that specialize in equestrian performers.

Commission horse riding acting often involves adapting quickly to different horses, working environments, and performance scenarios, which can be physically and mentally demanding. Actors in this field must maintain strong riding skills while also mastering stage or film direction and safety protocols. Candidates should be prepared for irregular schedules, outdoor work in varying conditions, and the need for ongoing training to keep their riding and acting techniques sharp.
