Job description

This role is situated at our organization’s medical facility, specifically within the Department of Medicine at Ft. Bragg, NC.

Our facility is a dynamic teaching hospital with a growing focus on medical education.

Located in Fayetteville, a progressive city with a population of 175,000, the area is beautifully positioned between the Appalachian Mountains and the pristine beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. Additionally, Fayetteville is home to professional hockey and indoor football teams, and is served by three higher education institutions: Fayetteville State University, Methodist University, and Fayetteville Technical Community College.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician specializing in Non-Invasive Cardiology, your duties will include:

  • Assessing patients through laboratory and clinical evaluations to determine suitable treatment options or referrals to specialty clinics.
  • Providing continuous care for chronic conditions and their complications, including valvular heart disease, ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmias.
  • Exercising independent judgment in selecting and conducting a comprehensive range of diagnostic tests for patients.
  • Collaborating with specialists across various subspecialties for cases that present complex and multifaceted challenges.
  • Overseeing medical students, interns, and residents as they deliver patient care in the Cardiology clinic.
Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must hold Board Certification.
  • Must possess a permanent, full, and unrestricted medical license to practice in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
  • Must have earned a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited institution in the United States or Canada, or possess an equivalent degree from a foreign medical school that is substantially equivalent to accredited U.S. schools, as evidenced by permanent certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or a fifth pathway certificate for U.S. citizens who completed their premedical education domestically and their graduate education abroad.
