Job description

The CNC Service Engineer plays a critical role within a team, providing expert support for multi-axis machining centers including 5-axis systems equipped with Siemens PLCs, Fanuc Controls, and Sinumerik Software. This position focuses on servicing primarily in aerospace sector, with minimal travel requirements. The engineer ensures peak equipment performance through installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades, while also delivering customer training and technical support at one site.

Responsibilities

  • Install and assemble multi-axis CNC machines and related systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system calibration on CNC equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues
  • Provide customer training on operation and maintenance of CNC machinery
  • Support software updates and configuration adjustments including Ladder Logic and PLC programming
  • Document service activities and maintain detailed technical records
  • Deliver technical support to resolve onsite and remote customer issues
  • Work collaboratively within a regional service team to ensure customer satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in CNC machinery maintenance and service
