Job Purpose
The Project Specialist role is to identify, introduce, develop and nurture business relationships with Major Project owners, Construction Management, General Contractors and all subcontractors on assigned Major Project. The Project Specialist's goal is to generate and maximize revenue from the project by leveraging Herc Sales Teams and from on-site efforts.
What you will do...
  • Integral partner with Customer (s), Herc [+] Major Project Sales Teams, Strategic Account Reps supporting the project and the Operations Sales and Support Team in the planning and execution of the project after winning the opportunity
  • Develop a comprehensive networking list of all named and unnamed contractors working on site by leveraging Herc Sales teams, project data bases and project networking
  • Project based customer management and revenue growth through proactive advanced sales activities for contractors and subcontracts prior to work starts
  • Develop, plan and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results/goals
  • All planning and sales activities are recorded in SuccessFactors ProFolio
  • Identify customer needs and react appropriately while understanding the market conditions and local competitors pricing
  • Master and cross sell all Herc Product lines and services including but not limited to Classic, ProSolutions, ProTruck, COEs, ProResources, Safety Solutions, and rental related ancillaries
  • Support on and off project branches and all team members

Requirements
  • BA/BS University degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred.
  • Proven track record with 3 years of outside sales experience within the heavy equipment and/or construction markets preferred

Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000 first year - base + commission + vehicle
