Job description

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an upbeat, focused, high-energy individual to join our Inside Sales team.
The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented and tenacious. You will have experience working with technology and assisting customers. We are looking for a self-starter that will support our rapidly growing customer base. In this role, you will use your communication skills to effectively explain solutions to prospective customers (who are teachers, students, parents, and school administrators).
This position requires you to be in our San Mateo, CA, headquarters office. We encourage new college graduates to apply including the class of 2026.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Conduct cold outbound calls and qualify inbound inquiries to identify customer needs and route high-potential opportunities to the field sales team
  • Manage the end-to-end processing of transactional sales, ensuring accurate CRM data entry and quick lead follow-up
  • Assist with the execution of targeted sales campaigns and provide administrative support to the broader sales team
  • Research and identify potential growth opportunities within target markets to help the team achieve sales goals
  • Deliver engaging virtual product demonstrations to prospective users, effectively communicating IXL's value proposition
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • BA/BS degree
  • Customer service, inside sales or education experience, preferably within the edtech or software industry
  • Any K12 classroom experience is a plus
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong verbal (telephone) and written communications skills
  • A high level of self-motivation, energy, and drive to succeed
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Understanding of web applications
  • Salesforce.com experience is a plus

The base hourly rate for this full-time position is $25 to $26 per hour + commission eligibility + benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay ranges for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
