Job description

The Credit Card Product & Marketing Specialist position is an essential position to help coordinate and manage all marketing objectives for credit cards. This position will work with the Credit Card Department to build and execute strategies in order to grow the credit card portfolio, ensuring projects are completed on time, and the quality of items produced are to the MidFirst standard. This includes but is not limited to creating and managing initiatives for credit card acquisition, usage and retention in order to exceed the line of business' goals.
This position reports to Credit Card Program Manager and collaborates with all members of the Marketing department as well as other key groups (sponsorships, legal, compliance, product management, etc.)
Job Objectives:
  • Planning and Strategy
    • Create roadmaps and plans to grow the credit card portfolio and penetration into multiple customer segments
      • Communicate card benefits and increase usage of benefits, especially the rewards program
      • Card activation, usage and retention programs
    • Set specific goals for initiatives and track performance and communicate results
    • Create specific strategies for the affinity card products, working with the Sponsorship team, Credit Card Program Management and Marketing to build out full-scale strategies and implement plans to achieve the desired results
    • Identify unique opportunities to grow the program and engage the customer base
  • Project Management
    • Create and manage marketing project timelines for designated areas of responsibility
    • Ensure all elements of projects are submitted to Marketing on time and completed by Marketing on deadline
    • Coordinate projects and ensure projects are completed correctly and efficiently
    • Work with Credit Card management to develop marketing strategies, define tactics, and create and manage marketing plan and draft content
    • Ensure specifications and content information is complete, compliant and accurate
    • Coordinate routine updates for Credit Card website pages, including required quarterly updates and periodic prime rate changes
  • Campaign/Promotion Management
  • Coordinate all elements of campaigns, promotions and sales support to ensure all aspects are completed, consistent and on-time
  • Create and maintain processes and planning spreadsheets to identify and manage campaign, promotion and/or sales support planning
  • Promotion and campaign tracking/reporting - track and report results to management and represented lines of business
    • Data analysis skills are desired in order to properly track and fulfill promotional initiatives
  • Sales Support Management - provide strategic planning and marketing expertise to lines of business.
  • Collateral and Website review - review project collateral items ensure accuracy and consistency. Additionally review items to ensure they are clear, easy to understand, and non-deceptive. Provide direction and guidance regarding sales support materials and direct marketing.
  • Marketing planning - Guide the marketing planning process for lines of business
  • Additional responsibilities and events as needed
