Job description

Duties Description Rockland Psychiatric Center (RPC), a Joint Commission accredited Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility is recruiting an Executive Director, Psychiatric Center to serve at the Chief Executive Officer of RPC. Duties: The Executive Director is responsible for all the clinical and non-clinical programs and activities at the facility and community-based programs. In concert with and working through the cabinet, the Executive Director provides administrative leadership and direction of all facility operations, programs, and policies.

Minimum Qualifications Master's degree or higher-level degree in a mental hygiene discipline, hospital, healthcare, public or business administration, human services, or other related field; AND Nine (9) of experience providing services to people diagnosed with mental illness, five (5) years of which must have been at a managerial level, including one (1) year in a high-level leadership position comparable to an executive staff level position in a psychiatric center, research institute, or developmental center. OR Possession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State or a limited permit to practice medicine in New York State and licensure in another state or Canada; AND Seven (7) of experience providing services to people diagnosed with mental illness, two (2) years of which must have been at a managerial level, including one (1) year in a high-level leadership position comparable to an executive staff level position in a psychiatric center, research institute, or developmental center. Additionally, all candidates must be eligible to participate in Federal health care programs (e.g., Medicaid)

Additional Comments About RPC RPC provides a full range of treatment services to adults 18 years and older with serious mental illness living in Rockland, Westchester, Orange, Sullivan, Putnam, Dutchess, and Ulster counties as well as the Greater NYC Region. In addition to RPC's inpatient facility, they provide a network of outpatient services including clinics, mobile mental health teams, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Teams, and residential programs.

Services are delivered safely in a respectful and caring environment with a primary focus on hope and recovery. About OMH OMH operates the largest state mental health system in the country, with 23 hospitals, 90 clinics, two world-class research institutes, a secure residential center, and a network of community services. OMH hospitals are all Joint Commission accredited and recognized as among the best mental health hospital systems in the United States.

Salary for Non-Psychiatrist: $206,107 plus $4,000 Location Pay Salary for Psychiatrist: $312,986 to $360,661 plus $4,000 Location Pay Notes 1. Background check is required, and candidates may be required to pay the fees associated. Employment is contingent upon complying with and satisfactorily meeting the background check requirements.

4. The New York State Public Officers Law requires that the appointee to the position be a U.S. citizen and a resident of New York State or establish residency in New York State at the time of appointment and maintain such citizenship and residency throughout your employment in this position
