What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professional in support of our federal law enforcement client. The Financial Analyst analyzes and interprets financial data to support the Unit's and Section's strategic and operational goals. This role performs a range of functions in alignment with organizational policies and procedures and provides financial support across budgeting, billing, reporting, transaction processing, and project financial management. The Analyst identifies financial trends, recommends optimization strategies, and contributes insights to inform business models and decision-making.
Responsibilities of this role are as follows, to include but not limited to:
  • Provide management with clear insights by assembling and synthesizing data, preparing detailed reports, and presenting findings, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Perform transaction processing support, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of financial and operational activities.
  • Calculate key financial figures, including percentages, discounts, and commissions, and perform foundational financial analyses.
  • Develop monthly performance forecasts and management plans, including variance explanations and trend insights.
  • Support evaluation of the financial implications of alternative strategies, methods, and operational plans.
  • Contribute to change management and contingency planning initiatives to support organizational adaptability.
  • Identify significant management challenges and propose thoughtful, data-driven solutions to address issues of broad scope, importance, and impact.

What You Will Need:
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree; FOUR (4) years of additional professional experience may be used in lieu of a degree
  • TWO (2) or more years of experience in financial analysis, budget formulation, and/or budget execution.

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Experience performing financial calculations and using Excel, for example: Time Value of Money, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), periodic amortization.
  • Experience forecasting, calculating complex financial figures, preparing budgets, and conducting financial or business analyses, including report preparation.
  • Experience applying analytical and problem-solving methods to identify complex issues, develop conclusions, make recommendations, and propose solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, terminology, and analytical methods.
  • Proficiency in calculating financial figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
  • Experience providing financial management support within government environments.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR).
  • Strong understanding of travel policies and procedures, including experience reviewing and processing travel transactions.
  • Ability to quickly synthesize information, learn new skills, approach problems with a range of solutions, and lead client-facing discussions and meetings.
  • One or more relevant professional certifications, for example: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM).
