Job description

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Unemployment Client Services Department is seeking a Program Supervisor III who enthusiastically shares our department's *E.P.I.C. vision and values in a positive, high-paced, energetic team environment. Each day, we reinforce our vision: "Creating a Positive Culture of Excellence and High Expectations Focused on Continuous Improvement. The Program Supervisor III will perform complex (journey-level) administrative and supervisory program work.  Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
 

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
-Perform complex supervisory work in the Central Texas Tele-Center. Supervisor will lead an Adjudications team.
-Plan, schedule, organize, and supervise activities of a large group of employees engaged in major areas of the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Program.
-Work with employees in a team environment to ensure the Tele-Center staff follows procedures and protocol.
-Ensure staff meets the agency goal of quality customer service.
-Ensure claims are handled timely and accurately, paid correctly, and quality decisions are made using
professional interviewing techniques.
-Develop and recommend program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations and monitors compliance with policies and procedures.
-Provide training or technical assistance in program area(s).
-Assign and supervise the work of others.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
 

YOU QUALIFY WITH:
-One year and six months of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency.
- Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position. 
-One year of full-time in-service TWC experience classified as a Program Supervisor II with regular status will satisfy the minimum qualifications.
 

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:
-Experience supervising and overseeing employees in a UI Tele-Center 
-Knowledge of the Texas Unemployment Compensation Act and of interviewing and training methods and techniques
-Experience in interpreting and applying Benefits Manual, Benefits Letters, Appeal Policy & Precedent, Commission Rules, ETA 301 and Directives in evaluating completed investigations and complex claim actions and calls.
-Experience in working and managing a caseload of job separation and non-separations
-Coaching, mentoring, training, monitoring, and quality Improvement experience preferred.
-Working knowledge of software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Avaya CMS Supervisor, and Qfinity.
-Serving our customers, other staff, groups, and situations with quality and timely customer service in accordance with TWC's mission, vision, and philosophy.
-Bilingual; English/Spanish 
-Associates or Bachelor's Degree
