ABOUT THIS ROLE

The McMahan Group is a 47-year Allstate agency in Virginia Beach. We take care of thousands of households across Hampton Roads and we're looking for someone who takes that seriously.
This role is built for someone who is genuinely good with people. You'll be a real point of contact for our customers helping them understand their coverage, handling service needs, reviewing their policies at renewal, and being there when they have a problem. The customers who feel taken care of stay. That's the job.
There's also commission upside here. When you identify an opportunity to better protect a customer and they take it, you earn for that. Were looking for someone relational who earns naturally through doing the service job well.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Be the voice customers hear when they call for payments, policy changes, coverage questions, and everything in between
Review customers' coverage at renewal and make sure they're properly protected
Spot natural opportunities to round out a customer's coverage and have that conversation
Retain customers who are thinking about leaving listen to what's going on and find a solution
Keep accurate notes and follow-ups in our agency management system so nothing falls through the cracks
Work alongside our outside sales team to support a smooth customer experience from quote to service

You're a natural communicator warm, patient, and easy to trust
You're organized and reliable you follow through, log your work, and don't let things slip
You stay calm when customers are frustrated and don't take it personally
You're comfortable working in a small office where everyone knows what you're doing
Prior experience in customer service, insurance, or any relationship-based role is a plus

PAY & BENEFITS

Base salary is $22/hr. ($45,760/year). On top of that, you earn commission when customers you serve add coverage, a monthly bonus tied to how well the agency retains its book, and a save bonus when a customer calls to cancel and you keep them. Solid performers in this role typically earn $55,000$70,000 all in.
