Job Description:
The Accounting Clerk has important administrative functions that allow all Departments throughout the Company to operate smoothly and efficiently. This position assists in the administration and organization of documents and information required for effective and efficient office operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain friendly, cooperative relations with customers, vendors, company personnel and management.
  • Perform other tasks or assignments as delegated by the Controller.
  • Demonstrate the ability to tactfully handle difficult situations.
  • Perform a range of bookkeeping and accounting activities including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales, Job Costing, Payroll and Fixed Assets.
  • Review and Assign Job Costs to Projects from Costs Unassigned Report Daily.
  • Payroll Processing bi-monthly.
  • Process Commissions and maintain record of past commissions monthly.
  • Reviewing Sales Taxes monthly.
  • Reconcile Bank Accounts monthly.
  • Reconcile Credit Card Accounts.
  • Collect employee expense reports & receipts monthly.
  • Anticipate problems and provide contingency plans and recommendations.
  • Organize personal schedule to maximize productivity and time management.
  • Follow all Company personnel policies and procedures.

Experience and Requirements:
Education
  • High School Diploma
Experience
  • One or more years of experience in accounting.
  • Computer skills, including capabilities in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word, Quickbooks experience preferred.
