About This Position

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm

***This position is located within a jail/correctional facility and would be working around inmates. Must be reliable transportation and would be driving within a 90 mile radius.***

The Commissary Representative Floater will assist in providing commissary operations and services to assigned location within a 90 mile radius of home unit.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Deliver product to canteens at specified correctional facilities with the supervision of a correctional officer in a timely and efficient manner following all rules and regulations
  • Assist onsite manager with completion of monthly canteen inventories
  • Maintain all areas/equipment/products in a neat, clean, and orderly manner and maintain American Correctional Association & American Jail Association standards/guidelines when applicable.
  • Attend orientation and training, annual on-site security classes and remain current in certifications as required by the Facility.
  • Will work at several locations within a 90-mile radius of home unit, as assigned by District Manager
  • Follow all the policies and procedures
  • Take pride in your surroundings by helping maintain a clean workspace
  • Other duties as determined by the needs of the business
  • Good computer skills such as Excel and Word
  • Must be willing to work outdoors

Compensation

Competitive pay

  • Regular pay raises based on performance and experience levels
  • Weekly pay, every Thursday
  • Hourly rate plus $.76 per mile
What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work well with people in a correctional facility in a professional, upbeat manner.
  • Must be well organized.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be a team player.
  • Reliable transportation - will need to travel within a 90 mile radius.
  • Ability to work in a correctional environment.
  • Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Familiarity with computers (including Microsoft Office programs) preferred.
