Job description

Summary:
The Commissary Lead coordinates and monitors all aspects of the daily operations in the Commissary area, aircraft delivery, recovery and restocking of commissary carts. The Lead is responsible for assigning, assisting, and directing teams daily to complete all tasks related to the provisioning, stocking, and security of the commissary operation. They also complete required reports as needed. The Commissary Lead conducts operations consistent with the requirements of company policy and federal and state regulations for scheduled and charter services.

• Knowledge of Allegiant Customer Service and Ground Operations procedures.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills and general office equipment.

• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, as well as stay for irregular operations.

Job Duties:
• Responsible for inventory of product in Commissary area.
• Responsible for rotating and stocking of food product to avoid expiration.
• Responsible for replenishing airline galley carts to a given diagram.
• Responsible for preparing and shipping of airline product via company mail.
• Responsible for security inspection of domestic and international commissary carts/product.
• Provision aircraft with non-food items per commissary requirements.
• Manage the removal of trash and used galley carts from aircraft.
• Ensure new galley carts are placed on departing aircraft.
• Direct others with knowledge of commissary services and operational functions.
• Maintain and ensure daily coverage of personnel through assignments and rosters.
• Cover flights with personnel during IRROPS to warrant commissary services are provided.
• Encourage team cooperation through briefings and leading by example.
• Determine timing of tasks for completion, review daily reports/emails.
• Monitor equipment daily and report out of service units.
• Oversee the daily organization and cleanliness of the commissary area and commissary trucks.
• Ensure trash, cartons and waste are removed and processed per local requirements.
• Provide all inventory and stock levels as requested and required to headquarters.
• Monitor daily arrivals and departures to ensure the timely delivery and exchange of galley carts.
• Communicate with other operational departments as needed to ensure optimal service and address corrective action.
• Report safety hazards and incidents to a supervisor.
• Ensure provisioning of ice to all applicable flights and the removal and processing of trash.
• Provide provisions to charter flights as needed.
• Work under current security guidelines while accepting and storing product from outside vendors.
• Operate electronic pallet jack.
• Guide staff to interact positively and professionally with the Inflight department.
• May discipline employees that violate company rules and regulations (with supervisor oversight).
• Conduct OJT and make certain all agents in operation are fully qualified.
• Drive and operate catering truck safely according to company policy.
• Oversee securing of carts and maintaining and securing supply of seals.
• Follow security guidelines for commissary in non SIDA areas.
• Schedule based upon operational need and seniority.
• Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and Customer Service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.
• Model Allegiant’s Customer Service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Airport Agent - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb and use hands and fingers to operate various types of tools and equipment (i.e. hand trucks, carts, ramps, tugs, etc.). Are required to lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs. and to push and/or pull up to 300 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to heights, small spaces, extreme noise (i.e. airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to crawl in and out of small spaces for extended periods of time. Ability to wear personal protective gear. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
