As the company continues to expand throughout Southern California, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to oversee ground-up and renovation projects throughout the Inland Empire and North San Diego County.

About the Position

The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for managing all field operations from project start through completion. This individual will lead on-site construction activities, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, enforce safety standards, and ensure projects are completed with the highest level of quality, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day jobsite operations for commercial construction projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules while driving milestone completion.
  • Conduct daily jobsite meetings and coordinate workflow among all trades.
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets project specifications.
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize project delays.
  • Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, architects, and owners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients while maintaining a professional jobsite environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects.
  • Experience leading projects in one or more of the following sectors:
    • Education
    • Retail
    • Office
    • Commercial renovations
    • Ground-up commercial construction
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building methods, scheduling, sequencing, and quality control.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
