A respected and growth-oriented Michigan law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate and/or Real Estate Attorney to join its expanding practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated business and commercial real estate matters while building long-term client relationships within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.


The firm is open to attorneys with strengths in corporate transactions, commercial real estate, or a combination of both practice areas. Attorneys in this group work closely with businesses, developers, investors, and private clients on complex transactions, strategic growth initiatives, governance matters, financing structures, acquisitions, leasing, and day-to-day legal counsel.


This opportunity offers strong long-term growth potential for attorneys seeking a platform to expand their practice and deepen client relationships. Portable business is welcomed and valued, though not required. The firm is highly collaborative, moves quickly for strong candidates, and offers substantial flexibility for experienced attorneys with a proven ability to manage matters independently.


Hybrid flexibility is strongly supported, with most attorneys generally working in-office around three days per week while maintaining autonomy and professional flexibility.


What You’ll Do


• Draft and negotiate a wide range of corporate transaction agreements, including operating agreements, shareholder agreements, employment agreements, buy-sell agreements, and M&A documents

• Handle mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing transactions, joint ventures, partnerships, and secured transactions

• Prepare governance and regulatory documents, including bylaws and capitalization-related materials

• Draft and negotiate commercial real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, and conveyance documents

• Review and resolve title and survey issues and oversee due diligence and closings

• Advise businesses and clients on legal, operational, and transactional matters

• Manage client relationships and contribute to business development efforts

• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups on sophisticated matters

• Conduct legal research, analysis, and strategic counseling for clients across industries


What You Bring


• Significant experience handling complex Corporate and/or Real Estate matters

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and transactional skills

• Experience managing matters independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities

• Strong research and legal writing skills

• Experience developing and maintaining client relationships

• Active involvement in business development activities preferred

• Portable book of business preferred, but not required

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with Michigan admission preferred
