About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve our commercial properties throughout the Appleton area. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, working independently, and taking pride in keeping facilities operating safely and efficiently.


You will perform a wide variety of maintenance tasks, respond to service requests, and help ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for tenants and visitors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems and equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
  • Service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices
  • Assist with installation, modification, and replacement of building equipment and systems
  • Complete work orders and respond promptly to maintenance requests
  • Repair and replace building finishes including ceiling tiles, door hardware, paint, wallpaper, and related building components
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify safety concerns and preventive maintenance needs
  • Maintain and operate fire alarm systems and other life safety equipment
  • Evaluate maintenance operations and recommend improvements, upgrades, and cost-saving initiatives
  • Safely operate maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery
  • Utilize smartphones, tablets, computers, work order systems, and building automation systems to document and manage maintenance activities
  • Participate in emergency response as needed
Requirements:

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related skilled trade
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Working knowledge of maintenance methods, tools, equipment, and building systems
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs in a commercial environment preferred
  • Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and computerized maintenance management systems
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and perform physical work for extended periods
