Job description

SUMMARY:  The Commercial Millwork Salesperson will build and maintain sales relationships, as well as building new business in the Southeast US. This would include the need to identify prospective clients as well as being a liaison between our client and their current accounts. The representative will work with designers, architects, construction management personnel, and other employees within the client organization to conduct the sales process from start to finish, as well as provide technical expertise regarding our client’s products and services in a timely and effective manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Commercial Millwork Salesperson will be responsible for, but not limited to:
•    Collaborate and call upon various levels of management personnel within client organizations including project managers, estimators, and field personnel to provide products and services according to need.
•    Work with architects and engineers to identify needs and offer products and services as a solution.
•    Identify and qualify prospective opportunities using the following items: by what type of building, customer reputation, quality of plans and soundness of engineering specifications, credit rating and project needs.
•    Read and analyze customer plans and blueprints to develop an idea of amount of materials needed for production, cost, and forward information to the estimating department for pricing.
•    Create proposals for customers to review. Fields any necessary inquiries relating to that proposal and verifies its acceptance, forwarding to Engineering and design for complete layout and completion of cutting bills for production.
•    Be a service provider to clients in the use, operation and maintenance of equipment and products.
•    Create sales / service contracts on behalf of the organization for our clients
•    Provide product and service training to client organization employees.
•    Call on current and prospective customers ~20 hours per week, including visiting job sites when applicable.
•    Develop and maintain customer accounts, relating to approximately $6+ Million in sales annually.


Position Qualifications:
•    Exceptional organizational skills
•    Strong communication skills
•    Strong interpersonal skills
•    High proficiency with MS Office Suite (specifically Excel) and functional systems
•    Broad understanding of standard business practices and procedures
•    Bistrack is a plus but not required.


Education and Experience:
•    High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
•    3 years Business-to-Business sales
•    5 years+ experience in building material sales, or construction related field.


Physical Requirements:
•    Sit, Stand, Walk frequently.
