Job description

Our Client is a growing commercial millwork manufacturer based in Richmond, Virginia. Due to continued business growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Millwork Engineer to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong Microvellum expertise who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to play a key role in supporting production and project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and release approved millwork shop drawings and production packages to manufacturing.

  • Create, modify, and maintain engineering drawings using Microvellum.

  • Support production teams by resolving engineering and manufacturing issues.

  • Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and design requirements.

  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and production personnel to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Troubleshoot engineering, drafting, and manufacturing challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure designs are accurate, manufacturable, and meet quality standards.

  • Assist with process improvements and engineering best practices.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microvellum in a commercial millwork environment.

  • Strong understanding of commercial millwork manufacturing processes.

  • Experience releasing production-ready millwork packages.

  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.

  • Knowledge of laminate, solid surface, wood, and custom millwork products.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Preferred Experience
  • 5-10 years of commercial millwork engineering experience.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations and production teams.

  • Familiarity with large-scale commercial projects for hospitals, universities, restaurants, contractors, and institutional facilities.
