We’re seeking a dynamic commercial insurance agent candidate who is one part facts and stats and another part networking and sales strategy. He or she will embrace the challenge of identifying ideal insurance policies for a multitude of corporate clients while simultaneously generating referrals to grow existing portfolios.

Responsibilities:
  • Remain educated on all insurance coverage provisions, the overall insurance industry, regulations, and pertinent legislation to ensure customers understand their coverage terms and insurance services in the process
  • Develop and present risk management assessments to advise clients on ways to minimize and avoid claims
  • Effectively communicate the company’s competitive advantage and key differentiators to maintain your existing book of business, and secure new business by networking, cold calling, and prospecting potential customers
  • Collaborate with managers and key stakeholders to determine commercial insurance needs against available insurance products and negotiation terms and conditions based
  • Visit with, follow up, call, and coach existing and prospective clients on commercial insurance policies as part of the company’s commitment to high-level personal attention and customer service

Qualifications:
  • Strong negotiation, research, analytical, and communication skill are necessary for success
  • Proficiency with computers is required, including Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry as an insurance producer for commercial lines
  • A thorough understanding of all insurance company policies and insurance coverage offerings, including their costs and benefits
  • State-issued, valid insurance license(s) required: Property and Casualty Insurance License and/or Life and Health Insurance License
