We are looking for a Commercial Insurance Producer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated, service-driven professional who wants to build and manage a developing book of business while becoming a trusted resource for clients and their businesses.


As a Commercial Insurance Producer, you will work closely with clients, prospects, insurance carriers, and internal teams to understand risks, develop insurance solutions, present coverage options, and grow long-term relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Proactively develop new commercial insurance business through outbound calls, emails, networking, referrals, and in-person appointments.
  • Meet with clients and prospects to understand their business operations, risk exposures, and insurance needs.
  • Present proposals, renewals, and coverage options while clearly explaining terms, limits, deductibles, and pricing.
  • Submit, rate, quote, and bind new and renewal business in accordance with agency standards and carrier underwriting guidelines.
  • Prepare accurate and complete insurance applications and underwriting documentation, including loss runs and exposure information.
  • Partner with insurance carriers, marketing teams, and service teams to negotiate coverage terms and pricing.
  • Develop professional insurance proposals and maintain consistent communication throughout the sales and renewal process.
  • Identify and support cross-selling opportunities across Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, and other agency departments.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, prospects, and carrier partners.
  • Achieve established sales and production goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in agency management and CRM systems, including AMS360 or equivalent platforms.
  • Track and report activity, pipeline, and production results.
  • Participate in agency sales and training meetings.
  • Stay current on insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain all required state licensing and continuing education requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Working knowledge of commercial lines insurance products and policy structures.
  • Ability to evaluate risk exposures and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultative sales skills.
  • Ability to prospect, qualify leads, and develop a book of business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management/CRM systems.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Minimum state-required auto insurance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively by phone, video, and in person.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
