Reports To: Vice President of Revenue Growth Management (primary), with a dotted line to the Divisional Sales Regional VP

Position Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Revenue Growth Management, the Commercial Finance Manager is an embedded finance business partner who supports regional and national brand-level commercial performance within Palm Bay’s Revenue Growth Management (RGM) organization. Working alongside the Director of Pricing & Strategy, the Manager builds the day‑to‑day forecasting, pricing analysis, and distributor reconciliation discipline that underpins Palm Bay’s margin governance model and supports business reviews with distributor partners and division leadership. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical rigor and commercial finance fundamentals with the relationship‑building instincts needed to partner effectively with sales, distributors, and brand teams.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as day‑to‑day finance business partner to regional sales teams and brand portfolio managers, supporting the VP ofRGM on divisional or national brand-group P&L performance
  • Maintain accountability for regional or brand-group trade spend and promotional budget accuracy, tracking actuals against budget and forecast
  • Build ad‑hoc “what‑if” analyses to support leadership decision‑making, and conduct program post‑analysis to evaluate promotional ROI
  • Present financial business reviews to division leadership and distributor partners, and lead quarterly distributor business reviews
  • Reconcile shipment data (sell‑in), depletion data (sell‑through), and retail scan data to flag inventory issues and early signs of margin leakage
  • Support execution of frontline pricing, depletion allowance, and quantity‑discount frameworks set by the VP of RGM, including maintenance of state‑by‑state pricing matrices
  • Monitor distributor investment and audit bill‑backs flagging discrepancies against pre‑approved trade terms
  • Analyze competitive pricing activity and market surveys/syndicated data, recommending pricing counter‑tactics to commercial teams and ensuring market compliance with brand pricing strategy
  • Coach and influence market and sales teams to make profitable, margin‑conscious commercial decisions
  • Perform period‑end close analysis of actual results versus budget/forecast, and support the annual pricing plan, including price increases driven by COGS and gap‑to‑comp‑set analysis
  • Partner with FP&A and the Director of Corporate FP&A (future state) on forecasting support and data consolidation for the assigned region or brand group
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field required
  • Years of Experience: 5–7 years of progressive finance experience, ideally including exposure to the three‑tier beverage alcohol distribution system or CPG sales finance
  • Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel proficiency required, with experience in BI/dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) a plus
  • Clear understanding of financial principles, P&L mechanics, and trade spend/promotional economics
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with, and influence, sales, distributor, and brand stakeholders without direct authority
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including experience presenting financial reviews to non‑finance stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating with an ownership mindset in a field‑facing commercial finance role
  • Wine, spirits, or broader beverage alcohol industry experience strongly preferred
Benefits Overview

Palm Bay offers a competitive compensation package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(K), paid vacation, personal time off and 11 paid company holidays.

Palm Bay International is an equal opportunity employer.
