Job description

This position will report to BBEC, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman - Service & Special Projects to lead and oversee commercial electrical service calls and special projects up to $300,000. This role requires a skilled electrical professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, leadership experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional customer service and safety standards.

The Commercial Electrical Foreman will plan, coordinate, supervise, and participate in electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities while directing the work of electricians and apprentices. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical systems, emergency power systems, switchgear, transformers, lighting, controls, and data cabling; interpreting blueprints and specifications; managing labor and material tracking; ordering materials; coordinating with project managers, estimators, contractors, and customers; and ensuring all work meets company standards, project requirements, and National Electrical Code compliance.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Journeyman Electrician with strong commercial electrical experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to independently manage field operations. This position requires someone who can mentor team members, solve complex electrical issues, maintain accurate documentation, and deliver high-quality results while representing the company professionally.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and supervise electricians and apprentices on commercial service calls and special projects.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, controls, switchgear, transformers, relays, and data cabling.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to plan and execute work efficiently.
  • Coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, and project requirements.
  • Track labor, materials, production, and daily job progress.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and electrical codes.
  • Train, coach, and mentor electrical team members.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and quality workmanship.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Journeyman License required; Master Electrician License preferred.
  • Extensive commercial electrical construction and service experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical methods, tools, equipment, materials, and NEC requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Experience supervising electrical crews and coordinating multiple projects.
  • Valid driver's license and DOT Medical Certificate required.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
