Position Overview

Dr. Fahrenheit HVAC is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to join our growing small team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems, with expertise in installation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and thermostats
  • Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure efficient and safe equipment operation
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC system issues
  • Provide clear communication and recommendations to customers regarding repairs, maintenance, system improvements, and upgrade opportunities
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure timely completion of work orders
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies, and participate in an on-call rotation as needed
  • Utilize company vehicle, diagnostic software, mobile communication devices, and standard HVAC tools effectively
  • Perform physical labor including working in crawl spaces, attics, and on rooftops, and lifting up to 50 pounds

**Required Qualifications**

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience
  • EPA Certification
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must provide and maintain personal HVAC hand tools necessary to perform job duties
