Job Purpose & Scope
Proactively supports the Commercial Banking team in all aspects of loan production and related banking services to foster and deepen Commercial and Consumer relationships, while managing an increased workload at the highest level of complexity. This role requires increased independence and execution, with minimal oversight, while continuing to foster internal collaboration aligned with the OZK Way and Commercial Bank Vision Statement. Serves as support for the team, providing guidance and training on Bank processes and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
  1. Administer various loan documentation and information throughout the loan life cycle, including escalating items as necessary to provide excellent customer experience.
  2. Promote relationship excellence between clients, Commercial Bankers, and Business Partners.
  3. Promote execution excellence of existing and new lending procedures, processes, products, and policies for maximum efficiency within the team.
  4. Support leadership with coordination of workload and assist when leadership is unavailable.
  5. Consistently anticipate client and banker needs.
  6. Proactively alert leadership of updates and changes within the Bank's balanced book of business.
  7. Oversee and respond to all escalation items.
  8. Timely coordination with appraisal services, attorneys, environmental service providers, title companies, insurance companies, and other third-party providers.
  9. Facilitate and coordinate loan process, including loan application input, loan funding, advances, issue payoff quotes, manage releases, and general ledger management.
  10. Serve as the first point of contact for all internal and external calls.
  11. Review loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
  12. Compile reports including Past Due Report, Maturity Report, Collateral Exception Report, Financial Exception Report, Discrepancy Report, and other reports.
  13. Assemble and maintain loan files.
  14. Prepare and mail correspondence as required.
  15. Provide support to other business lines as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  1. Knowledge of local, state & federal laws and regulations.
  2. Knowledge of all elements required to close a loan.
  3. Demonstrated ability in using loan application software.
  4. Knowledge of lending and associated administrative process and procedures.
  5. Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  7. Ability to multi-task when there are competing demands with exacting deadlines.
  8. Ability to maintain attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  9. Ability to mentor and train other team members.
  10. Ability to learn and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Ability to apply knowledge to carry out written or oral instructions.
  12. Ability to analyze data and solve problems effectively.
  13. Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, financial documentation, covenants, and loan documentation.
  14. Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with clients, general public and employees of the organization.
  15. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Basic Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Minimum four (4) years of lending support experience required.
  3. Minimum four (4) years' experience with computers, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, required.
  4. NMLS or successful completion of NMLS process within 30 days of hire, required.
