Job description

  • RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Working with a wholesale agency specializing in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation and Ambulance Risks.
    • Evaluate new business submissions for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation and Ambulance (NEMT) appetite acceptability.
    • Negotiate new business quotes and renewals with insurance carrier underwriting partners leading to the binding of business
    • Maintain underwriting files and prepare reports and presentations as required
    • Work with our agents to drive multi-line sales on individual accounts, such as workers compensation, general liability and professional liability coverages relating to NEMT and Ambulance risks.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum 5+ years of commercial auto underwriting experience, preferably transportation business
    • Strong knowledge of commercial auto, insurance rating, forms and coverages
    • Ability to make timely decisions with appropriate information and consultation
    • Proven track record of building strong business relationships with agents and insureds
    • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment to drive results
    • Experience working with IMA or other Insurance Agency Management Systems
