Lakeside Health & Rehab | Richmond, VA
Full-Time | Salary: $52,000.00 - $69,992.00 per year
Lead Our Maintenance Team & Help Create a Safe, Comfortable Home for Our Residents
Lakeside Health & Rehab is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Maintenance Department. If you're a proactive leader with strong technical skills and a passion for creating safe, welcoming environments, we'd love to have you on our team.
This leadership position is responsible for maintaining the facility, equipment, and grounds while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and life safety regulations.
What You'll Do
  • Plan, organize, and oversee all maintenance operations throughout the facility.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance staff.
  • Maintain the building, grounds, mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, CMS, state regulations, Life Safety Code, and infection prevention standards.
  • Coordinate repairs, vendor services, and contracted maintenance projects.
  • Maintain maintenance records, work orders, inspections, and required documentation.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness planning and disaster response procedures.
  • Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and purchasing of maintenance supplies.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to quickly address maintenance concerns and enhance resident satisfaction.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in commercial maintenance, healthcare maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, hospital, or healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations, fire safety standards, emergency preparedness, and Life Safety Code requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • On-call availability for facility emergencies as needed.

Compensation
