ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Post-Production Manager, the Photo Retoucher / Color Correction Specialist isย responsible for editing a high volume of eCommerce and creative images captured daily in ourย photo studio and on location. You will retouch complex and demanding eCommerce and editorial
fashion campaign photography, with a strong focus on managing color-related tasks acrossย projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping the company exceed customerย expectations and ensure products are represented accurately. As a color specialist, you will alsoย ensure color accuracy and consistency across digital and print media, perform advanced colorย swapping, balance tones, and maintain calibrated workflows in collaboration with photographersย and production teams. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of colortheory, and adherence to best practices in post-production color management.

RESPONSIBILITIESย 

  • Coordinate, track the retouching and color management across multiple high-volumeย  streams of imagesย ย 
  • Manipulate, adjust, and swap colors on products while maintaining natural texture,ย  shadows, and lighting integrityย ย 
  • Create multiple color variants of a single product image as needed for product lines orย  promotional useย ย 
  • Match product images to physical color samples and style guides to ensure visualย  consistency across channelsย ย 
  • Name, organize, and maintain digital asset file structuresย ย 
  • Ensure color consistency across all image assetsย ย 
  • Ensure on-schedule delivery of all assets in accordance with production calendars andย  daily / weekly deadlinesย ย 
  • Perform quality assurance on all imagesย ย 
  • Responsible for completion of work to daily and weekly deadlinesย ย 
  • Maintain communication between key stakeholders throughout the color processย  including retouching team, photo publishers, Post-Production Manager, photographers,ย  buyers and sample teamย ย 
  • Demonstrate initiative and contribute ideas to continuously improve the overall colorย  correction processย ย 

ROLE REQUIREMENTSย 

  • Two or more years of experience as a Photo Retoucher in a studio environment, ideallyย  within the fashion eCommerce industryย ย 
  • Proven experience in photo retouching and color manipulation, supported by a strongย  portfolio with before-and-after examplesย 
  • Strong knowledge of color theory, with the ability to perform color corrections,ย  adjustments, and creative color grading to enhance product imageryย ย 
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshopย  Detail oriented, organized, and methodical approach to retouchingย ย 
  • Enthusiasm for exploring new techniques and improving existing workflowsย  Knowledge of studio photography and lighting practices, including familiarity withย  photographic vocabulary and terminologyย ย 
  • Ability to engage in detailed, technical discussions about the properties of an imageย  Passion for teamwork and collaborationย ย 
  • Willingness to give and receive constructive feedbackย ย 
  • BA degree in Photography or equivalent professional experienceย ย 
  • Fluency in English; additional language(s) are an assetย 
  • Schedule of this position: Monday - Friday | Core business hours | Onsiteย
